This program was designed to optimize productivity and quality by selecting and cloning the superior trees, thus ensuring quality forest supply for the manufacture of solid eucalyptus products. The tests are carried in site in our forest reserve. There are basically three Research and Development lines:
Process started in 2003 to increase the wood quality, improve industrial performance and offer a more uniform raw material. The products of the first cloning selection (Eucalyptus grandis) were introduced in 2006.
Process started in 1993, using the South-African method CCT, which evaluates the species growth by analyzing different cuts of the population. The aim is to verify the performance, the quality and the growth of the trees, managed in a felling system that prioritizes the best trees.
Experiment with new species and places of origin: The program was started in 1994.
